Treatment Specialist

The United Planning Organization (UPO) is a leading provider of community-based services, dedicated to empowering individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency and stability. As a Treatment Specialist, you will play a critical role in facilitating psycho-educational and individualized group therapy, developing curricula for targeted populations, and providing case management and client advocacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement group therapy curriculums and facilitate specialized group therapy sessions
  • Provide educational group sessions to assist clients in overcoming dependencies and adjusting to life
  • Complete and maintain accurate records and reports regarding client histories and progress
  • Intervene as advocate for clients in crisis situations and provide resources on addiction and available services
  • Plan and implement follow-up and aftercare programs for clients
  • Collaborate with external service providers to enhance service coordination and advocate on clients' behalf

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field or 5 years of experience in the field
  • Certification as an Addiction Counselor I or II (CAC I or II)
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs
  • Effective organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Experience with client management software
