Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Systems Analyst to join our team. As an Energy Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing building mechanical and electrical systems, conducting technical on-site surveys, and analyzing data to identify energy-efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production of projects that meet industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys to determine existing facility conditions and identify energy-efficient solutions.
  • Perform mechanical system calculations, including load calculations and ventilation schedules.
  • Interact with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to prepare meeting notes and design drawings.
  • Design and prepare drawings for mechanical systems, including duct and pipe sizing.
  • Assist the development team in coordinating with other disciplines, including energy modeling and financial modeling.
  • Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on technical areas related to building systems.
  • Participate in industry organizations and attend events, meetings, and activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four-year ABET accredited university.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude.
  • Required experience in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data.
  • Passion for quality and client satisfaction.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of energy-related client interface experience for an engineering design firm.
  • Preferred experience with building energy services in the health and higher-education field.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical design drawings.
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
  • Participation in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.
Travel Requirements

25-50% of time will be spent traveling to job sites and office locations.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
  • Climbing stairs.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools.
  • Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
  • Noisy environment.
  • Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects.
