Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director of Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care to lead our team at the Portland VA Medical Center. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care Division, ensuring outstanding and cost-effective care is delivered to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care Division, working collaboratively with the RLTC Nurse Director/Associate Chief Nurse Executive and RLTC Administrative Director.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in all areas of the division, including the Community Living Center, Home-Based Primary Care program, and Audiology and Speech Pathology services.
  • Further the educational and research missions of the VA, in collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and other academic affiliates.
  • Oversee and administer the human and fiscal resources devoted to carrying out the clinical, training, and research missions of the division.
Requirements
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Geriatrics.
  • Minimum of four years of administrative and leadership experience in operations, planning, and supervising Rehabilitation and/or Long-Term Care program(s) in a tertiary care environment.
  • Strong clinical, administrative, and academic background, with a commitment to ongoing clinical competence and professional enrichment.
  • Ability to coordinate a broad continuum of programs and work well within a senior management team.
