Job Title: Portable Fire Extinguisher Specialist

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced Portable Fire Extinguisher Specialist to join our team in Greensboro, NC.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fire safety codes and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test portable fire extinguishers to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Identify and report any system deficiencies or issues
  • Prepare accurate and timely inspection reports
  • Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings
  • Test and repair fire extinguishers already in place
  • Perform inspections to ensure fire extinguishers are installed according to code
Requirements:
  • A high school education or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards is preferred
  • Experience with fire extinguishers is preferred
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements
