The Portfolio Executive plays a crucial role in driving business growth and success within the beverage alcohol industry.

As a key member of the Martignetti Companies team, this individual will be responsible for managing a portfolio of sales and inventory management objectives in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of the Northern New England Control State beverage alcohol environment.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity that requires a high level of mental concentration to manage multiple complex tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to achieve sales and inventory targets. A valid MA driver's license and registration are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and monitor pricing, support, terms, samples, marketing policies, and channel sales restrictions with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with supplier managers to set monthly goals on case volume and programming.
  • Develop and implement monthly and quarterly programs to achieve supplier FY targets.
  • Communicate with all sales divisions on pricing, programs, and relevant aspects of the selling process.
  • Manage internal financial aspects, including LMF and team expenses.
  • Call on key accounts with sales representatives and managers to ensure placements, volume, and execution of programs.
  • Monitor pricing changes and review beverage journal.
  • Identify, develop, and support opportunities for compelling market events.
  • Present and develop sales plans for the sales force on a bi-monthly basis.
  • Forecast and communicate future needs based on trends, programming, etc.
  • Manage and monitor all aspects of portfolio inventory.
Requirements
  • Strong Leadership skills, including coaching and training capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong selling, presentation, people, and diplomacy skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Solid product knowledge.
  • Knowledge of On and Off Premise Pricing Models.
  • Solid financial acumen with the ability to use budgeting and forecasting methods.
  • Candidate must possess a College degree, 5+ years of Sales and/or Portfolio management experience in the beverage alcohol industry, and a strong understanding of the Northern New England Control State beverage alcohol environment.
