Job Title: Land Management Specialist

AgReserves, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Land Management Specialist to support land and lease portfolio management, lease administration, land purchases, research, and analysis with a focus on land administration, lease property transactions, and document control.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Land team with daily activities and prepare reports for managers and division leadership.
  • Set up new farms and tenants, becoming familiar with the farm lease portfolio, tenants and tenant operations, lease arrangements, farm operations.
  • Prepare new leases, lease renewals, and lease amendments; implement best practices to optimize lease documents for new, renewal, or amendment transactions.
  • Manage agricultural data collection for all properties within the lease portfolio, including Division KPIs, tenant supplied soil and farm production reports from Terra (FIS) systems, external data sources, APH reports, tenant proof of insurance, and tenant legal entity paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance in the document retention program by enacting the proper storage and organization of service agreements, purchase orders, and other critical documents.
  • Deepen knowledge of tenants, lease arrangements, farm operations, markets, and the broader agricultural industry context to provide strategic insights.
  • Champion compliance and continuous improvement in the creation, enhancement, standardization, and training of division operating procedures.
  • Represent the company to outside entities on assigned projects and initiatives. Coordinate the prioritization and flow of leases and records.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agri-business, Business, Information Management, or related field preferred with 5+ years of lease/land management, real estate, agricultural industry, or records management experience.
  • Or high school diploma with 10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Advanced knowledge of real estate transactions and agricultural sales (e.g. commodities, machinery, irrigation, fertilizer, chemicals, ag inputs).
  • Understanding of basic land use planning and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong demonstrated organizational, prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to be successful independently and collaboratively, learn quickly, adapt to change, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in the use of current Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications and office equipment.
