Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at the Kelberman Center Inc. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in promoting and ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavior analytic treatment to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior analytic treatment plans
  • Work closely with Clinical Directors, ABA Program Supervisors, and ABA staff to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Provide training, guidance, and oversight to Behavior Technicians (BT)
  • Assist in the development of new policies and updates to existing policies
Requirements
  • AAS Degree in Human Services or related field; Bachelors preferred
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Enrolled in a BCaBA (Bachelor's) or BCBA (Masters) track program and pursuing BCaBA or BCBA Certification
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a program or setting supporting persons with developmental disabilities
  • Valid New York State Driver's License
Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Minimal risk of chemicals used in cleaning. Job-related tasks involved exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, or the potential for skin or mucous membrane contact from spills or splashes of these substances. May have exposure to unpredictable individuals and situations when working at the Kelberman Center. Occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions while traveling to homes/clinic for scheduled sessions. OSHA Exposure Category 1

Physical/Mental Demands
  • Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the position and have fluency in the English language
  • Ability to lift and/or assist individuals and the ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat; Climb and descend stairs
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to move and react quickly
