Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Portfolio Manager to join our team in a key role that involves managing Commercial Banking relationships. The Portfolio Manager plays an integral part in the deal team, engaging in the entire process from origination to ongoing relationship management. This position is crucial for driving revenue growth through the successful acquisition of new business relationships and the retention and expansion of existing ones, all while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite commercial loans, ranging from direct transactions to syndications.
- Manage credit risk and make independent decisions regarding an assigned portfolio of relationships.
- Take full responsibility for managing and servicing a portfolio while adhering to the bank's risk appetite and policies.
- Ensure thorough analysis and spreading of financial statements, addressing industry risks, monitoring collateral requirements, loan structuring, pricing, and credit performance.
- Facilitate loan documentation and closing processes, and assist in committee presentations.

- Provide detailed reporting on loans, including past dues, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance updates, and portfolio profitability.

- Deliver exceptional customer service, participate in sales calls with Relationship Managers, and help identify customer needs.
- Stay informed about financial and market trends affecting the portfolio and analyze their potential impact.

- Assist bankers with new and existing loan requests and other special projects.
- Senior-level candidates may oversee Analysts and Loan Specialists.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, along with 4+ years of experience in banking, relationship management, underwriting, and credit, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient understanding of various loan types, credit analysis, financial statement analysis, risk assessment, and credit scoring.
- Familiarity with banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Strong credit skills in underwriting, financial modeling, valuations, and adherence to policies.
- Excellent customer service, relationship management, organizational, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in various software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
