Job Description

Deciphera Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist II to lead our toxicology and safety pharmacology efforts. As a key member of our Nonclinical R&D Team, you will be responsible for ensuring scientific and operational excellence across our toxicology and safety pharmacology activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external CRO partners to design and execute nonclinical safety studies that meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of nonclinical safety study research reports to support regulatory filings, including pre-IND, IND, and IB submissions.
  • Manage timelines and track progress for nonclinical safety studies, identifying interdependencies, milestones, and risks.
  • Align internal business needs with external CRO partners to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery of high-quality results.
  • Ensure compliance with global non-clinical safety studies regulatory guidelines and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Toxicology or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in toxicology and nonclinical safety assessment in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GLP regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and industry standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, including experience with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Strong leadership competencies, including experience with team management, communication, and problem-solving.
