Job Title: 1st Processing General Labor

Butterball, LLC is a leading producer of turkey products in the U.S., with a diverse array of career opportunities and paths. We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team in the 1st Processing department.

Job Summary:

As a General Laborer in the 1st Processing department, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on recently slaughtered turkeys or tasks that support the overall operations within the department. This includes inspecting birds for defects, trimming and removing parts as needed, and sanitizing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect birds for bruises, scabs, tears, feathers, broken bones, etc.
  • Trim bird as needed, removing scabs, feathers, and broken bones.
  • Sanitize equipment and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with loud and noisy machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift, and carry birds as required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
Working Conditions:

The 1st Processing department is a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work in a damp environment with seasonally hot and warm temperatures. You will also be exposed to loud and noisy machinery, dusty environments, and pungent odors.
