Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our 1st Processing team on a night shift schedule. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on recently slaughtered turkeys, ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect turkeys for defects, such as bruises, scabs, and broken bones
  • Trim birds as needed, removing scabs, feathers, and other imperfections
  • Dispose of condemned parts and salvage usable parts
  • Hang back birds or parts on the hang back rack as required
Requirements
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work with scissors or knives, and lift, carry, and hang birds
  • Physical ability to inspect the exterior of birds for defects
Working Conditions

Our 1st Processing facility operates in a damp environment with seasonally hot and warm temperatures. You will work with loud and noisy machinery, in a dusty environment, and around pungent odors.
