Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a 1st Processing General Laborer. This role is responsible for performing various tasks on recently slaughtered turkeys, ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect birds for defects, including bruises, scabs, and broken bones
  • Trim birds as needed, removing scabs, feathers, and other imperfections
  • Sanitize knives and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Monitor and inspect for fecal matter on the back of the birds, pulling them off the line for reprocessing as needed
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with loud machinery, pungent odors, and potential exposure to chemicals and fumes. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in these conditions while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work with scissors or knives
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and hang birds as required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
