Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our 1st Processing team at Butterball, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on recently slaughtered turkeys, ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect birds for defects, including bruises, scabs, tears, feathers, and broken bones
  • Trim birds as needed, removing scabs, feathers, and other imperfections
  • Sanitize knives and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Monitor and inspect for fecal matter on the back of birds, pulling them off the line for reprocessing as needed
Working Conditions

As a General Laborer in our 1st Processing department, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise levels. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying birds
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
