Actuarial Director

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to lead our team in designing, developing, and delivering actuarial modeling solutions across Prudential Financial. As a key member of our Global Capabilities team, you will be responsible for driving the development of Python E2E process solutions, leading the design and coding of improvements to Moody's AXIS liability modeling solutions, and supporting end users with model errors and user questions.
Key Responsibilities- Actuarial Modeling Expertise: Develop and maintain actuarial models, including liability modeling, using Moody's AXIS software and Python programming language.
- Team Leadership: Lead a global Agile team to execute on tight timelines and balance multiple priorities from a range of stakeholders.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate complex technical concepts to business users without IT backgrounds and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Technical Skills: Strong programming experience in Python or similar language, actuarial modeling experience, and knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
- Professional Actuarial Designation: FSA, FIA, or equivalent strongly preferred; will consider ASA.
- Actuarial Modeling Experience: Experience with Moody's AXIS or other similar vendor software.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership skills to guide a global team and excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in Python or similar language and knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
