Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to join our team at Prudential Financial. As a key member of our Actuarial team, you will be responsible for leading the development of actuarial modeling solutions and driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Actuarial Modeling Solutions: Develop and implement actuarial modeling solutions to drive business outcomes and improve decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, and stakeholders to design and deliver actuarial modeling solutions.
  • Drive Business Outcomes: Develop and implement strategies to drive business outcomes and improve profitability.
  • Lead Technical Development: Lead the development of technical solutions, including Python E2E process solutions and Moody's AXIS liability modeling solutions.
  • Provide Expertise: Provide actuarial expertise to support end-users and resolve model errors.
Requirements
  • Professional Actuarial Designation: Hold a professional actuarial designation, such as FSA, FIA, or equivalent.
  • Strong Programming Experience: Have strong programming experience, particularly in Python or similar languages.
  • Actuarial Modeling Experience: Have experience with actuarial modeling, preferably with Moody's AXIS or similar vendor software.
  • Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership skills to guide a global Agile team and drive business outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Have strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to business users.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming: Have familiarity with object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
  • Investment/ALM Experience: Have experience with investment/ALM, including developing models to perform ALM projections.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies: Have knowledge of agile methodologies and their application in actuarial modeling.
  • Knowledge of Annuities Products: Have knowledge of annuities products and their application in actuarial modeling.
