Job Summary

We are seeking an innovative Ground Systems R&D Engineer to provide technical support for the acquisition of intelligence community national intelligence ground R&D systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for system-level architecture analysis and evaluation, as well as specific system acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Review and Assessment: Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of systems, technologies, designs, architectures, interfaces, and operations of ground systems.
  • Feasibility and Applicability: Evaluate the feasibility and applicability of relevant systems and technologies to future communication systems, ground systems, and operations concepts.
  • Analysis of Alternatives: Conduct analysis of alternatives to optimize technical, cost, and schedule performance and improve knowledge and understanding of system, technology, and architecture tradeoffs.
  • Technical and Programmatic Support: Provide technical and programmatic support through the entire project life cycle, including concept development, system definition, acquisition planning, source selection, system design, development, integration, and test.
  • Software Development Support: Support software development contracts, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Briefings and Reports: Deliver briefings and reports, including technical and programmatic assessments, results, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Enterprise R&D Environment: Participate in our enterprise R&D, learning, and innovation environment, creating, gathering, and sharing knowledge to grow organizational competency and capability.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Poly: Possess an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Poly.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years or more experience; relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Ground Systems and Agile Software Development: Have knowledge and experience of ground systems and Agile Software development methodologies.
  • AI/ML Concepts and New Technologies: Show interest in developing knowledge in AI/ML concepts and ability to investigate new technologies.
  • Microsoft Office Applications: Be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Possess critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills for written reports, group discussion, and oral presentations.
