Role Responsibilities
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse in our Surgical ICU, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will include:
- Conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions for critically ill patients.
- Educating patients and their families about treatment plans and medication management.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and monitoring test results.
- Administering medications as per physician directives.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Registered Nurse license or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Prior experience in an acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within six months of hire.
- Strong critical thinking skills and effective communication abilities.
