In this role, you will analyze documentation to support codes/DRGs and abstracted data for inpatient records, identify and write clear and concise appeal letters, and utilize resources to identify the root cause of denials/downgrades. You will also maintain or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards, and review official data quality standards and coding guidelines to assure coding knowledge and skills remain current.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HIM/HIT preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital inpatient coding experience required
  • RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification preferred
