We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team at the University of Miami UHealth System. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Nuclear Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and examine orders for Nuclear Medicine scans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify patient identity and obtain necessary consents and education.
- Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of Nuclear Medicine scanners and related equipment.
- Collaborate with radiologists to assist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast media.
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide education and training to student technologists.
- Assume care for physical and psychological needs of patients during scanning procedures.
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology accredited program.
- NMTCB or ARRT-N registered.
- Valid State of Florida License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- CPR and BLS certification.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
