Job Title: Developmental Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Developmental Specialist to join our team at Advocates. As a Developmental Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting the values, dreams, and potential of individuals with developmental disabilities through education and meaningful activities.

**Responsibilities:**

* Ensure clinical and programmatic planning and implementation for consumers, including ISPs, behavior plans, learning styles, and data collection systems.

* Ensure that assigned individuals are involved in community activities of their choice.

* Integrate individualized outcomes for consumers and staff into group management.

* Ensure adequate staffing to meet the needs of individuals.

* Supervise Support Specialists and relief staff to carry out their responsibilities and the agency mission.

* Assist Program Supervisor in administrative planning of program.

* Assume responsibility of Support Specialist as needed.

* Maintain accurate and complete records, reports, and data necessary to meet the requirements of Advocates and any certifying or regulatory agency.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Human Service/Special Education or related field.

* Alternative to a degree: at least two years of work experience in a training program for persons with developmental disabilities.

* One year experience in training program for developmental disabilities.

* One year supervisory experience.

* Valid driver's license.

* Acceptable driving status as determined by Advocates insurance company.

* Use of a reliable vehicle which seats two passengers.
