Join the Field of Port Authority Project Management

Selectek is on the lookout for a seasoned expert to become part of our team, a prominent provider of engineering, procurement, and construction services dedicated to industrial port facilities throughout North America. In the role of Port Authority Project Manager, you will take charge of all elements of bulk material handling initiatives, ensuring they are executed in accordance with Owner specifications, within the designated timeline, and adhering to budget constraints.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate schedules for all stages of brownfield port facilities projects.
  • Employ SAP Business ByDesign, MS Office, and MS Project to effectively manage project documentation, financials, timelines, and resource distribution.
  • Direct cross-functional project teams to meet project goals and deliverables.
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering resources and international manufacturing subcontractors to support project implementation.
  • Engage with clients on both commercial and technical matters, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with project goals.
  • Oversee changes from both a financial and scheduling perspective to maintain a consistent risk profile.
  • Supervise engineering, manufacturing, transportation, construction, and commissioning activities to guarantee compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Conduct reviews of 'lessons learned' with the project team following project completion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in project management with a focus on port facilities.
  • Experience in managing projects with a value exceeding $50 million USD.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government contract forms, conditions, and compliance with technical specifications.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive international experience in coordinating engineering, procurement, and equipment delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with conveying and storage systems for bulk materials.
  • Willingness and experience in both domestic and international travel.
Compensation:

Annual salary range of $115,000 - $130,000
