Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of subordinates to ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Develop and implement plans to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all operations are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Ensure that all employees are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external customers to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the level of service provided.
- Identify and implement opportunities for business growth and development.
- Prepare and present reports to management on operational performance and any issues that may be affecting operations.
- Three years of related work experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the container shipping or logistics industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and with external customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to operational issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and a valid state driver's license.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Experience with GPA computer systems and other relevant software.
