Job Summary
The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for applying the practice of nuclear medicine imaging through the safe and effective use of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement, triage, preparation, quality control, calculation, identification, documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of all radioactive materials.
- Lead the daily section operations and serve as the point of contact for hospital staff, physicians, patients, and their families.
- Manage staff scheduling, maintain team oversight, and deliver training programs.
- Monitor section's nuclear equipment, coordinate repairs, and make recommendations.
- Research, develop, and implement quality performance standards and imaging techniques.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute.
- Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
- 2 years of experience practicing Nuclear Medicine.
