Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Fostoria City School District. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing therapeutic interventions to help students with disabilities achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address the unique needs of students with speech and language disorders.
  • Student Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies to support their learning.
  • Collaboration with Teachers: Work closely with teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents to keep them informed of their child's progress and involve them in the therapy process.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including therapy plans, assessments, and progress reports.
Requirements
  • Valid Ohio Speech/Language Pathologist License: Possess a valid Ohio speech/language pathologist license and provisional teaching license.
  • Education and Training: Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, and have completed training in physical and behavioral management techniques.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with speech and language disorders.
  • Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced educational setting, interacting with students, teachers, and parents on a daily basis. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
