Position Overview:

The selected contractor will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and recommendations to enhance cloud architecture, which encompasses hybrid, containerized, and edge computing solutions. The strategy should outline a clear path to fulfill requirements while ensuring robust capabilities and security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop budget estimates aligned with the MARS cloud roadmap.
- Monitor and identify anomalies within cloud services.
- Assess cloud systems and offer insights on performance and cost-effective options.
- Evaluate and propose strategies and tools to enhance the MARS CI/CD pipeline, aiming for automation, speed, and security across various environments, including on-premises, hybrid, and edge.
- Support the development of MARS edge and cross-domain solutions.
- Manage and oversee complex projects with agile development teams as assigned.

Cloud Provider Strategy:

- Provide strategic recommendations regarding available cloud providers and services suitable for adoption within the MARS environment.
- Stay informed about current and upcoming services in the MARS landscape.
- Advocate for services that can enhance security, performance, and availability within MARS.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) in a relevant capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or Computer Science is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications:
- AWS certification as a Solutions Architect is required.

Security Clearance:
- This role necessitates a TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
