Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect

At T-Rex Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our cloud services team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, operating, and maintaining secure and resilient cloud environments for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based system architectures that meet the needs of our clients, including public and private cloud technologies and services.
  • Ensure that cloud architectures are compliant with open systems standards and meet the requirements of our clients.
  • Evaluate the compatibility of information system development efforts with agency architectures and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Develop corrective actions to address problems related to cloud connectivity, cloud platform architecture, workflow, organization, and planning.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Strong experience in one or more architecture domains, including business architecture, solutions architecture, and application architecture.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  • Experience working in the public cloud and with cloud-based technologies.
  • Proven background working in cloud environments with experience and knowledge in 4 or more of the following areas:
    • Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
    • Agile collaboration tools, such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
    • CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Artifactory.
    • Containerization and container management with Kubernetes and Helm.
    • Security automation with tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
    • Cyber tools, including Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Amulous, and STIG scanner.
    • Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
    • Git, branching strategies, GitFlow, and/or GitHub Flow.
    • Cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.
  • Ability to meet with customers to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and accountable for themselves, with the ability to follow through with tasks to completion.

Desired Education & Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience engineering and architecting public cloud environments.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate or higher certification.
  • Experience working in an agile environment preferred.

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only and T-Rex Solutions considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
