Overview of the Financial Analyst Role:
The Financial Analyst is integral to our financial strategy and analysis efforts, responsible for developing financial models, interpreting data, and aiding in the budgeting process. This role emphasizes the utilization of financial insights to inform business strategies and uncover growth opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Construct financial models for forecasting and budget management.
- Provide monthly budget variance reports to stakeholders and leadership.
- Design dashboards and reports for financial review sessions.
- Assist branch and regional leaders with breakeven analysis.
- Support profitability reporting by Loan Officer.
- Collaborate with partners on financial assessments to enhance profitability.
- Conduct ongoing financial performance evaluations and analyses.
- Advise on the financial implications of business decisions.
- Generate data-driven reports to assist management in strategic planning.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
- Examine industry trends and peer data to recommend profitability improvements.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Expertise in Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, and Macros.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, with a track record of increasing responsibilities.
- Previous experience in Mortgage Banking in a finance or accounting role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Experience in Mortgage Banking roles such as Sales or Operations is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to demonstrate mobility and dexterity throughout the workday.
- Must possess good vision capabilities and the ability to adjust focus.
- Capacity to lift and carry items, as well as work in diverse environments.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and auto insurance for business purposes.
