Job Title: Wide Format Operator

Job Summary:

Vivid Impact is seeking a skilled Wide Format Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining wide format digital printing and cutting machinery to produce high-quality print jobs according to specified requirements and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate wide format printing and cutting equipment to produce print jobs as per specifications.
  • Prepare materials and set up printers according to job ticket instructions to achieve the desired output.
  • Perform initial checks of print runs to ensure quality and adherence to proofs.
  • Continuously monitor print quality and equipment performance to prevent defects or spoilage.
  • Maintain accurate production records and manually log necessary information following company procedures.
  • Utilize the Pace software system for entering job specifications and tracking progress.
  • Manage and organize finished materials, transferring them to designated areas upon completion.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and workspace.
  • Perform routine and as-needed maintenance on printing machinery.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the workplace.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as required to support the team and production needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience with digital and wide format printing required; knowledge of laminating and mounting is essential.
  • Familiarity with Agfa printing and/or Zund cutting or routing equipment preferred.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business needs.
  • Strong organizational and basic computer skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to quality with a keen eye for detail.
  • General safety knowledge and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and multitask effectively.
  • Positive and proactive attitude towards both external and internal customer satisfaction.
