Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

At Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing care to youth in need and making a transformative impact in their lives.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Mental Health Therapist to coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment. The ideal candidate will provide ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Document the clinical course of treatment – weekly progress notes, master treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and aftercare/transition plans.
  • Develop youth behavioral health discharge plan and aftercare plan.
  • Assess the dynamics and functioning level of each family in case load and then formulate and implement intervention plan(s).
  • Collaborate with leadership and performance improvement activities by conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with YOI policy and agency requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: A Master's degree, from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or in a related human services field, is required.
  • Experience: Two years' experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems. If the candidate has a master's degree in an appropriate field, the experience requirement is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education. Advanced oral and written communication skills.
