Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides mental health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders. They work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:


  • Perform psychiatric assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans, including medication management.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health issues and treatment options.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately.


Requirements:


  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health; board certification as a PMHNP required.
  • Valid nursing license and prescriptive authority.
  • Strong clinical skills and patient-centered focus.
