Job Overview

This corporate-level accounting position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the financial reporting process, including posting journal entries, reviewing and analyzing financial statement variances, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing various supporting schedules/analytics, performing research as needed, and assisting with the production of monthly financials/key metrics information in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts, assessing requests for new cost centers/accounts, and accurately setting up new departments and accounts when approved.
  • Assisting with the preparation of forecast/budget and completing various external audits and mandatory reporting, including financial audit, tax/governmental reporting, surveys, etc.
  • Handling special projects designated by Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) required. Master degree and CPA preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Generally requires 3 years of public accounting or 5 years of non-public accounting experience in an accounting position.
  • Relevance of experience and education/certification taken into consideration.
  • Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team required.
  • Willing and able to train/mentor staff accountants. Advanced knowledge of Excel functions required.
