The Transportation Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing logistics, inventory, and transportation functions across designated locations. The manager will supervise a team of CDL Drivers and Shipping/Receiving Associates to ensure the prompt delivery of stone products from manufacturing facilities to customer job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational aspects of product delivery to job sites, including coordination with drivers, external shipping vendors, and inventory management.
- Lead a team of drivers and shipping/receiving associates, ensuring accountability for On-Time In-Full (OTIF) metrics, safety standards, compliance, and other critical performance indicators.
- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and quality, along with effective inventory tracking and management.
- Ensure compliance with directives that align with overall regional objectives and strategies.
- Maintain a strong customer-centric approach while demonstrating cross-functional leadership with plant warehouses and installation teams.
- Exemplify core values and success behaviors in leadership, emphasizing integrity and safety.
- Support company initiatives and projects aimed at driving change.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and familiarity with DOT regulations.
- Proven experience in leading teams or managing projects.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Strong understanding of business operations and acumen.
- Experience in the construction, remodeling, or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
Core Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve key performance indicators.
- Proficient in team leadership.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Quick adaptability to new software and computer systems.
- Fundamental skills in data analysis and reporting.

Compensation:
The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, along with medical, dental, and vision benefits and paid time off.
