Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Local Vehicle Transporter to join our team at Amerifleet Transportation, Inc. As a Local Vehicle Transporter, you will be responsible for transporting passenger vehicles locally in a safe and efficient manner. You will work closely with our clients to ensure their vehicles are delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver vehicles to customers at their homes or businesses, ensuring they are presentable and able to perform an Electronic Condition Report.
  • Pick up customer vehicles and bring them back to the hub, performing an Electronic Condition Report as needed.
  • Transport vehicles to and from service centers, detailing shops, and other locations as required.
  • Perform inventory and inspections on the lot as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and management to ensure timely and efficient delivery of vehicles.
  • Present electronic and hard copies of documents related to vehicle transportation.
  • Submit required documents for processing.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 23 years of age.
  • Candidates over 65 years old are subject to an additional review process for insurance purposes.
  • Candidates over 65 years old must provide a letter of insurability from their personal physician for insurance purposes.
  • Must have a valid and current driver's license.
  • Clean MVR.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • No smoking, vaping, tobacco use, eating, drinking in customer vehicles or at delivery/service locations at any time.
  • One year of driving experience.
  • Must be able to operate a smartphone/device, including various applications.
  • Must be willing and able to drive in different weather and road conditions.
  • Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 150 miles from the office.
  • Must be willing and able to get in and out of various vehicles and operate assigned vehicles.
  • Previous experience driving larger vehicles preferred but not required.
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of laws governing the operation of motor vehicles on public roads.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance.
