Clinical Health Psychologist Job Description

This job description outlines the key responsibilities and requirements for the Clinical Health Psychologist position at VCU Health.

About the Role

You will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for providing consultation and liaison services within designated VCU Health System programs, as well as providing teaching and supervision in the Health Psychology Postdoctoral and Psychiatry residency programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health psychology interventions for patients in the transplant surgery program
  • Provide post-transplant therapy and support to patients
  • Work with other healthcare professionals to develop and deliver health psychology interventions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program
  • Advanced training and experience in clinical health psychology
  • Licence or license eligibility in the Commonwealth of Virginia
