About the Role

The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and service in our Pediatric Care department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure seamless administrative support for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check patients in for appointments and collect payments
  • Answer telephones and take accurate messages
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals
  • Verify and update patient demographic information in our electronic medical record system
  • Post and balance payments collected
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Good judgment for maintaining confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment or 2 years of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Intranet and Internet usage, Excel, Word, and web-based applications
