Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Anesthesia Technician to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by providing essential anesthesia support during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepares and organizes equipment and supplies for scheduled and emergent cases in anesthetizing locations
- Creates and maintains orderly, well-stocked anesthesia carts of all types, such as emergency airway and pediatric
- Transports and sets up equipment needed for procedures, including laryngoscope blades, monitors, EKG cables, ETCO2 lines, pulse oximetry cables, temperature cables, and oxygen tanks/tubing
- Applies basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and principles of growth and development as required to assist in anesthesia preparation/supply selection
- Assists in the transfer, positioning, prepping, and draping of patients for anesthetic procedures by facility standards
- Assists with the placement of non-invasive monitoring devices, such as blood pressure cuff, EKG leads, and pulse oximeter probe
- Assists with higher-level patient prep, such as intubation or invasive line placement/monitoring, once competency/certification is confirmed and as governed by local, state, and federal regulation and per facility policy
- Assists anesthesiologists during scheduled and emergent procedures as directed, including monitoring of vital signs or retrieving needed equipment and supplies

Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technologist in an operating room or critical care environment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification - preferred
- Anesthesia Tech license from ASATT - preferred
