UPS Tractor Trailer Driver Job Description

As a Tractor Trailer Driver with UPS, you will play a critical role in our operations, driving a tractor trailer from one UPS location to another or to a customer on an established route. This is a full-time position that requires a valid CDL license and a passion for truck driving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer safely and efficiently, adhering to UPS's high standards for vehicle maintenance and operation.
  • Deliver packages and freight to customers on time, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records of vehicle condition and any issues encountered.
  • Load and unload packages and freight, using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL license in home state, with doubles/triples endorsement as required.
  • Pass the DOT physical and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Reliability, responsibility, and a love of truck driving.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
