Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Serve as a working lead mechanic for all equipment repairs, overhaul, and installation of new equipment.
  • Safety Procedures: Follow mechanical and electrical safety and lock out procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Read blueprints of Hydraulic, Electrical, and Pneumatics systems, and troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair machinery and equipment installations.
  • Collaboration: Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information and resolve technical issues.
  • Problem-Solving: Take the lead in resolving technical, unusual, or complex problems or issues, and utilize specialized equipment to ensure repaired equipment meets manufacturer's specifications.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Machine Monitoring: Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Troubleshooting: Trouble-shoot and analyze causes of equipment failures and recommend solutions for problem solving.
  • Documentation: Complete any required documentation of paperwork as required for plant maintenance system.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous verifiable maintenance experience, preferably 2 years, with basic knowledge of Electricity, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.
  • Certifications: Ability to qualify as an ARC Flash Worker and Aerial Boom Lift & Platform life worker.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED is required, and a Journeyman's card or Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred.
