We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Job Description:

The Oncology Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with cancer, utilizing the professional practice standards established by the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Nurses' Association. Effective communication skills are required to provide patient education and support to patients and their families. The nurse must be able to institute life-saving measures as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing wound care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, based on their unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as an RN, preferably in oncology or a related field.
  • Current licensure in the State of Vermont and BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
