Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled Physician Assistant to join its esteemed team in the Foley Cancer Center.

About the Role

This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position with no weeknight call and one weekend per month on-call coverage. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will work collaboratively with physicians and nurses to provide patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations, and interpret findings.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care as necessary.
  • Provide assistance during surgeries or medical procedures.
  • Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care, and health maintenance.
  • Evaluate outcomes of direct patient care and consult with other specialists as required.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a Graduate degree from an American Medical Association-approved Physician Assistant educational program.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a specialty area, such as oncology.
  • Licensure with the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation and advanced certification by a national certifying organization recognized by the Vermont Nursing Board.
