About the Role

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing the daily functions of the restaurant's kitchen. Responsibilities include ensuring a well-stocked kitchen, maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, and leading kitchen staff to deliver exceptional culinary experiences in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in fostering a motivated and engaged team.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment, overseeing storage, labeling, preparation, and safety protocols.
  • Act as a mentor and role model for kitchen staff, enhancing their culinary skills.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation across all service channels.
  • Facilitate optimal restaurant performance by identifying and removing operational obstacles.
  • Manage inventory and food safety practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Commit to ongoing training and development within the kitchen team, ensuring familiarity with all operational guidelines.
  • Participate in the recruitment and development of kitchen staff, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Plan daily staffing needs to align with business demands.
Food Safety and Team Member Well-being
  • Supervise the quality of food deliveries and manage inventory and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and security standards by all team members.
  • Store food products in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain detailed cost reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Uphold sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen management or back-of-house operations in either Quick Service or full-service restaurants.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of 15 or more members per shift.
  • Problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Food Safety Certification is required.
