Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Audiologist to join our team at the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, hearing aid evaluation and programming, and cochlear implant evaluation and programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and specialized auditory assessments of patients referred to the Audiology Division and/or Vestibular & Balance Center.
  • Accurately analyze and interpret results of all testing, and make appropriate recommendations for rehabilitation.
  • Assess patients' candidacy for amplification, fit and dispense hearing aids or other assistive listening devices.
  • Provide follow-up services as indicated, referring appropriately for ancillary needs.
  • Maintain accurate, organized patient files that document the services billed.
  • Participate in clinical research and departmental QI plan, and assist with special projects as requested.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Audiology (minimum)
  • 1 Year of experience
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling
Work Environment

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
