This role is for a Logistics Support Specialist within the Air National Guard, focusing on the efficient management of supply chain operations.
The position is situated in the Logistics Readiness Squadron, specifically within the Materiel Management Flight, Customer Support Liaison Element. This role is pivotal in addressing customer logistics inquiries and proactively identifying potential challenges that may hinder mission success.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Asset Management**: Oversee the unserviceable asset inventory and await guidance from relevant logistics centers. Assist clients in preparing necessary documentation and coordinate with logistics support for stock level adjustments.
2. **Data Coordination**: Work closely with logistics centers to ensure accurate data for base stock levels, including various leveling techniques.
3. **Supply Discrepancy Management**: Administer the Supply Discrepancy Report program and provide analytical reports to higher authorities.
4. **Shipment Oversight**: Manage in-transit shipments and transfers, ensuring compliance with regulations for classified and sensitive items.
5. **Customer Support**: Validate customer due-out requests and manage the issue exception code program to enhance service delivery.
6. **Records Maintenance**: Conduct base-level records maintenance, ensuring accuracy in supply documentation and compliance with established procedures.
7. **MICAP Processing**: Verify and process critical item requests, ensuring timely support for non-maintenance customers.
8. **Training and Support**: Engage with various departments to assess support adequacy, resolve issues, and provide informal training as needed.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate relevant experience in supply chain operations, including knowledge of governing regulations and procedures. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and experience with computer systems related to supply management.
Conditions of Employment
Military requirements apply, and candidates must meet specific qualifications as determined by the applicable service manpower requirements.
