Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Beacon Hill Staffing Group. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for handling escalated queries, managing ER case management, and providing support to people managers on employee relations issues.

Responsibilities
  • Handle escalated queries from tier 1 and 2
  • Manage ER case management and documentation, working with internal Legal function and/or external legal providers as necessary
  • Provide support to people managers on employee relations issues, including feedback loops and coaching
  • Liaise with internal legal or external legal advisors on ER reporting, analysis, and insight
  • Support organization change programs, acquisitions, and terminations from an ER/LR perspective
  • Process unemployment claims
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to people managers on day-to-day employee issues
  • Issue termination documents
  • Review and update documented processes to ensure consistency across all ER specialists
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, with demonstrated functional knowledge and expertise
  • Bi-lingual/French preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in a regional shared services organization a plus
  • Demonstrated experience of proactively managing customer relationships, continuous performance measurement, and process improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders in a complex, multi-supplier and matrixed environment
  • Exceptional conflict resolution skills and ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
