Job Summary

The R&D Design Engineer position at Nilfisk contributes to both new product development and current product support, reporting to the Technical Team Manager.

As a key member of our team, you will apply principles and techniques of mechanical engineering and analysis in designing components, systems, and mechanical functions for floor maintenance products, including autonomous variants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and document components and systems using CAD
  • Develop engineering analysis and contribute to testing criteria and evaluation
  • Collaborate within a technical and cross-functional team to ensure design meets requirements, providing the best balance of features, cost, and quality
  • Drive prototype construction and evaluation of design concepts

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering education
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical design environment
  • Ability to support occasional travel

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
