Position: Supply Chain Logistics Specialist

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid work model)

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute logistics strategies for site components and direct shipments
  • Manage inventory levels to enhance production efficiency and minimize working capital
  • Ensure timely and complete delivery of all materials to the site
  • Collaborate with the Global Logistics Services team
  • Evaluate inbound freight performance for critical supply items
  • Assist in enhancing tactical supply chain management processes
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives in partnership with the Sourcing team
  • Identify and implement strategies for supply chain optimization
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and activities
  • Establish key performance indicators for supply chain effectiveness: On-Time Delivery, inventory reduction, and freight expenditure
  • Influence across organizational boundaries with a strong focus on cultural understanding
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborate with suppliers to achieve results aligned with company timelines
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in Global Supply Chain operations
  • Experience in planning and procurement within a manufacturing context
  • Familiarity with global, multi-modal freight and logistics solutions
  • Lean methodology experience, including Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, and 5S
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MRP and Enterprise Systems, preferably SAP
  • Ability to set objectives and convert them into actionable strategies
  • Proficient in motivating and empowering team members
  • Adaptable to evolving circumstances and open to new ideas
Competencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP)
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Strong ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams
  • Analytical problem-solving skills; able to identify relevant information for decision-making
  • Capable of establishing targets and translating them into actionable plans
  • Skilled in promoting influence and motivation among peers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
