Job Summary:

As a Patient Access Representative, Specialty Cardiology, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for patients and their families at Christus Health. This position requires a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input patient demographic, financial, and guarantor information into our system.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for services rendered.
  • Calculate and collect patient portions based on benefits and contract reimbursement.
  • Perform financial assessments for program assistance.
  • Communicate with patients and families, physicians, nurses, and insurance companies in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Represent the Patient Access department in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Assist the hospital in the event of an internal or external disaster.
  • Support the flexible needs of the department to accommodate patient volume.
  • Support the department in achieving established performance targets.
  • Complete required training as needed and as mandated.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred.
  • None required.
