- Providing Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Scheduling Appointments: Schedule patient appointments and testing as requested, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and documented.
- Registering Patients: Register new patients in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, verifying demographic and insurance information.
- Collecting Co-Pays: Collect required insurance co-pays from patients, including any prior balances.
- Performing Pre-Visit Planning: Perform daily pre-visit planning for all upcoming scheduled appointments, including running insurance eligibility checks.
- Obtaining Prior Authorizations: Obtain prior authorizations and/or insurance referrals as needed.
- Performing Outreach: Perform outreach to select patient groups as directed for patient care and quality measurement/guidelines.
- Performing Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including ordering supplies and following up with providers on missing slips.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- 1-3 Years of Experience: Preferred.
- Strong Customer Service Skills: Essential.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Required.
- Experience with EMR Systems: Strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Preferred.
