Job Title: Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at McLennan Community College. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, visitors, and staff, while also offering administrative support to the Academic Advising team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate information to students, parents, visitors, and staff using critical listening and thinking skills.
  • Offer administrative support to the Academic Advising team, serving as the assistant to the Dean, Associate Director, and staff.
  • Exercise no supervision and report to the Lead Advising Specialist of Career Services and Front Desk.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Some work experience, preferably in an office or customer service environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask, think critically, and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, computers, and Microsoft applications.
Working Conditions:

This is a sedentary desk job with occasional field trips. The work environment is minimal hazard/exposure, with standard office settings and at least minimal environmental controls in place to ensure health and comfort.
