Job Summary:

Father Purcell Memorial Exceptional Children's Center is seeking a skilled LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in admitting new residents and ensuring their physical and mental health needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admitting and Assessing Residents: Assist physicians during rounds of residents' rooms, perform ongoing assessments of residents' physical and mental health, and explain procedures and treatment protocols to residents and families.
  • Supervising and Delegating: Assign and delegate duties to non-licensed nursing staff, monitor resident care, and supervise other nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Communication and Education: Explain procedures and treatment protocols to residents and families, and provide education on health and wellness to promote resident independence.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • License/Certification: Nursing license (Preferred), BLS Certification (Preferred), and LPN (Required)
  • Work Location: In-person at Father Purcell Memorial Exceptional Children's Center
